Intestinal disorder syndrome (IBS) is a problem involving the large intestine. It can interfere with normal function of the colon (large intestine). IBS is not dangerous but it can affect your life style and quality. You may feel uncomfortable and stressed. Some patients with IBS are not able to work, attend social events, or to travel even go near the place.
IBS is a major problem in Western countries. In fact, IBS is one of the most common problems diagnosed by a specialist gastroenterology.
